Bigger sweet spot · developed with Andre Agassi

Joola Agassi Pro V Pickleball Paddle — Performance Pick

Developed with Andre Agassi. The tapered throat and enlarged sweet spot suit players who hit toward the top of the paddle, which is why it's a natural fit for tennis players. Built for reliable play across the whole court: drives from the baseline and precise dinks at the kitchen.

  • 16mm: 8.1 oz, 4.25 in grip · 14mm: 7.9 oz, 4.125 in grip

How to choose

Three questions settle it: how much reach do you want, how much forgiveness, and how do you like the ball to feel off the face.

  • Power or control? That's the core thickness.

JOOLA's 14mm core swings faster and gives more pop; the 16mm core gives more reset control and a touch more weight (8.1 oz vs 7.9 oz). Patient, control-first players usually land on 16mm. Fast-hands players usually land on 14mm.

  • Reach or forgiveness? That's the shape.

Elongated paddles (Perseus, Hyperion, Agassi) give you more reach at the kitchen and on deep volleys. The hybrid Kosmos is a little shorter and wider, so the sweet spot is bigger and off-center hits are kinder.

  • Coming from tennis?

The Agassi was developed with Andre Agassi for players who hit toward the top of the paddle, which is most tennis players. Its tapered throat and enlarged sweet spot are built for that contact point.

  • Want what Ben Johns plays?

Both the Perseus and the Hyperion carry his name. Perseus for stability in long rallies; Hyperion for hand speed at the kitchen.

  • Can't decide?

The Kosmos is JOOLA's answer to exactly that: the Perseus reach with the Scorpeus sweet spot, in one paddle. 16mm for control (Federico Staksrud's choice), 14mm for speed (Tyson McGuffin's).

  • Smaller hands?

The 14mm Hyperion, Agassi and Kosmos come with JOOLA's slimmer 4.125 in grip. The Ben Johns Perseus editions use the 4.25 in grip. You can always build a grip up with an overgrip; you can't make one smaller.

Questions people ask

Which JOOLA Pro V is the best?

There isn't one best Pro V. The four paddles here share the same construction (JOOLA's KineticFrame throat, a carbon fiber face, a 14mm or 16mm core) and the same $299.95 price. What changes is the shape. Perseus and Hyperion are elongated for reach; Agassi is elongated with a tapered throat and a bigger sweet spot; Kosmos is a hybrid that trades a little length for a bigger sweet spot. Pick the shape that matches how you play, then pick the core thickness that matches how you like the ball to feel.

Perseus vs Hyperion: what's the difference?

Both are elongated shapes that Ben Johns plays, and both weigh the same (8.1 oz at 16mm, 7.9 oz at 14mm). The Perseus has rounded top corners and is JOOLA's most popular shape for elite players; JOOLA describes it as the choice for stability in fast pro rallies. The Hyperion uses Ben's aero-curve shape, designed to cut through the air for hand speed and reach. If you want the proven all-rounder, Perseus. If quick hands at the kitchen win you points, Hyperion.

14mm or 16mm core?

Per JOOLA, the 16mm core gives maximum reset control and the 14mm gives more swing speed. The 16mm models weigh 8.1 oz; the 14mm models weigh 7.9 oz. Grip size also changes with thickness on the Hyperion, Agassi and Kosmos: 4.25 in on the 16mm, a slimmer 4.125 in on the 14mm. If you play a patient, control-first game, start with 16mm. If you like a lighter paddle and faster hands, 14mm.

Is the Pro V better than the Pro IV?

The Pro V is JOOLA's current generation of these shapes. Its headline feature is the patent-pending KineticFrame built into the throat, which JOOLA says flexes to store momentum and release it on impact for better ball placement. Whether that feels better to you is personal. We stock the Pro V line only, every model at JOOLA's $299.95.

Is the Perseus Pro V worth it?

If you want the shape Ben Johns plays and you value stability over everything, it's the paddle in this line built for that. $299.95 is JOOLA's price for every Pro V, and that's what you pay here. What you get from Game On on top: it ships direct from JOOLA USA within 1–3 business days, shipping is free, you have 30 days from delivery to return it with no restocking fee, and a real person answers the phone Mon–Sat.

Where is the Scorpeus Pro V?

Out of stock at the moment, so it's not in the table. It's JOOLA's widest and most forgiving Pro V shape, the signature paddle of Anna Bright and Collin Johns. If forgiveness is your priority, the Kosmos is the closest in-stock pick: a hybrid that blends the Scorpeus sweet spot with the Perseus reach.

How do shipping and returns work?
